Creating a New Department And Sub Department?

Creating a Department

Go to File Maintenance and click Department/Sub Department Maintenance.

Click the Create New Department link at the bottom of the screen.

Enter the Department Name and populate with a Commodity Code and Commodity Description then click Create New Department.

This will add the new department to this list you will first see when you enter Department/Sub Department maintenance. 

Creating a Sub Department

Select Edit next to the Department you are going to create the SubDepartment in.

For example I have gone into Accessories - click on add new sub department

Enter a SubDepartment description

Click CreateNewSubDepartment.

This will add the new sub-department to the to a list in the Sub-Departments section of the Department.
