How Do I Setup Web Department / Subdepartment Banners?

There are 2 main different versions which result in slightly different process of linking the banner to the relevant page.

Older version: 

New version: 

Whereas before the Department Banners and Subdepartment Banners where amended in different programs they now use a shared script which brings a few more benefits explained below.


Older Version


Web Department Banners

Customer Order Setup > Web Pages and Email Text > Department Banners > Add New >

Select Web Department from the dropdown.


Upload the 3 different sizes of banners, similar to homepage banners. This is necessary in order to display a banner on mobile, tablet and desktop devices.

You can add some text in the Display Text field if you wish. Please note that this text will only display on desktop devices.

Set your dates and click on Apply Changes.


Customer Order Setup > Web Pages and Email Text > Sub Department Banners > Add New >

Select the Web Department from the dropdown and then the Web Sub Department.


Upload the 3 different sizes of banners, similar to homepage banners. This is necessary in order to display a banner on mobile, tablet and desktop devices.

You can add some text in the Display Text field if you wish. Please note that this text will only display on desktop devices.

Set your dates and click on Apply Changes.


New Version

Go to Customer Order Setup > Web Pages and Email Text > Banners Maintenance > Add New >

Select the Web Department, section or select “All Departments” from the dropdown if you wish to display this banner on all listing pages at department level (e.g. these 2 would both be showing the same banner)

Select the Web Sub Department - select the desired sub-department or “All Sub-departments” based on the same logic explained above.

For example if you were to Select department â€" Home Kit and sub-department “All” then this banner would display for all sub-departments UNDER home kit department.
Next step is to upload the 3 different sizes of banners, similar to homepage banners. This is necessary in order to display a banner on mobile, tablet and desktop devices.
You can add some text in the Display Text field if you wish. Please note that this text will only display on desktop devices.
This text container would normally display as an overlay and take up the whole width of the screen so you can have it aligned to left, right, center based on your formatting.


Set your dates and click on Apply Changes.


Suggested dimensions

The heights can be amended to your liking based on these suggested values. These, however, should not be more than specified values as it would take the attention off of the products;

large: 2000x400


Medium: 1040x400


Small: 640x400
