When running a promotion (e.g., 25% off selected items), you may want to prevent the 5% Season Ticket Holder discount from applying on top of the promotional discount.
Online, the system can be configured so that promotional items are excluded from the Season Ticket Holder discount. However, please note that promotions and discounts will always stack on the tills.
You can control whether promotional items also receive the Season Ticket Holder discount within system settings.
This option ensures that any product included in a promotion will not also receive the Season Ticket Holder discount online.
Navigate to:
File Maintenance > System Configuration > Customer Ordering
Locate the Season Discount configuration settings.
Review the current setup:
If set to All Products
And Include Items with Promotion Discount is ticked
Untick Include Items with Promotion Discount
Any product included in a promotion will automatically be excluded from receiving the Season Ticket Holder discount online.
Alternatively, you can restrict the Season Ticket Holder discount to specific products.
In:
File Maintenance > System Configuration > Customer Ordering
Change the Season Discount setting from:
All Products
to:
Selected Products
For each product that should receive the Season Discount:
Navigate to Stock Amendment
Tick the relevant option to enable the Season Discount
If one of these selected products is included in a promotion:
Go to Stock Amendment
Untick the Season Discount option for the duration of the promotion
Re-enable it once the promotion has ended
Please note that this method requires manual management when running promotions.
Promotions and Season Ticket Holder discounts will always stack on the tills.
There is currently no configuration available to prevent this behaviour at the till.
If you are running online promotions and want to prevent additional Season Ticket Holder discounts from applying, unticking "Include Items with Promotion Discount" is the most efficient solution.
