The Sales Reporting report allows for either a daily or weekly breakdown of sales value by branch, total retail figures, mail order figures and wholesale figures, comparing it to the figures of the previous financial year.
If you run the report interval as daily the
report will produce the below output.
As the screenshot shows, you will be given a daily breakdown of sales for each branch for the week set as the current week number as well as a total value for the week and what % that branch had towards the weekly total.
Below that you will have the same figures but for the branches total for the same week last year. This is shown by the rows that contain LY in the name.
After the break down by branch for this year and last year, the report will give you a total for all retail on a daily basis as well as a full total and % contribution. Followed by the same breakdowns for mail order and internet sales, and then wholesale figures.
If you want to run the report on a weekly level the first thing to do will be to determine the “starting†week. This is the week you want the report to start from during the financial year you are running the report for.
The first section of the output will display the sales value for the current week you selected, by branch. This section will also show the figures for the same period in the previous year as well as the % participation of each branch this year and last year. As well as this it will show the total retail, mail order / internet and wholesale figures, showing the same comparisons as the branch by branch breakdown.
The next section of the weekly version of the report will provide a “stock position†and margin report, showing the stock value at cost price, at sell price excluding VAT and then the stock value margin. It will also provide a comparison for the same period in the last financial year.
The next section of the report will give the same breakdown as the first section, however it will show cumulative figures for the period between the current week and the start week. First by branch, then a total for all retail, then mail order & internet and then wholesale.
The final section of the report will give a cumulative breakdown of sales by department for the period between the 2 weeks you have set. First it’ll show the sales value total for this year, last year and the variance between the 2 years. This section of the report will then show the cost value, margin value and margin % first for the financial year set and then for the previous financial year. Finally this section of the report will show the margin value and % for the variance between the current financial year and the previous one.
