Similarly to the Monthly Sales and Margin report, the 3 Year sales analysis report provides an overview of unit sales and margin over an extended period of time. This report differs however in that it provides the figures for the previous 3 years, which can alter to be either the previous 3 financial years OR the previous 3 calendar years.
The first thing to do is decide if you want to run the report for the financial year of Calendar year. The Calendar year will run the report January to December, whereas the financial year option will run the report from the “Year start date†month, setup in file maintenance -> system configuration -> calendar maintenance, setup against the year 3 years prior to the year selected. i.e.; if you select the sales year of 2019, this will run year start of the “2017†year setup in calendar maintenance. The report will then end at the end of the year you have selected based on how this is setup in calendar maintenance. This means that when outputted the report will then give you the sales and margin figures for 2017, 2018 and 2019.
After having chosen the “year type†select the year you want to view the figures for. As shown in the screenshot, when you select the year, the report will the show you which dates this will then run between.
At this point you will also need to decide whether or not you wish to see the figures for ALL departments or a selection. You can do this by clicking “selection†on the department line and ticking the departments you wish to view.
You can also select a specific supplier if you wish to just produce reports for 1 supplier. If not, leave the “supplier†field blank. If you wish to run this for only 1 supplier, either manually enter the supplier code or click “search†and search for the supplier by name in the pop that appears.
Once all the
parameters are setup as you require, click “next†and the report will be
produced as an Excel CSV matching the parameters set out previously.
As shown in the above output of the report, it will show the department, Sub department, SID, Description and supplier of any item that has had a sale during the period the report is ran for.
The report will then show the current set cost and sell price of the item as well as how much stock you currently have, this is under the “current stock holding†column.
