1. Find Google Category Maintenance in Customer Order Setup
2. Against each sub department you can assign a Google category. In the right column click [SEARCH] next to each sub department to create/amend your category selection.
3. You will get a pop up with a selection of drop down boxes
4. In each drop down you will be
able to choose each column of the navigation. You should only select columns as
far as is necessary.
For example for Gifts / Car Accessories suggest the following entries:
5. Press insert.
6. You will now need to repeat this for as many sub departments as are relevant to the categories available.
7. If there are no categories that seem relevant to a particular sub department then you will need to set a category against individual styles. (Next section).
1. Go to Stock Amendment.
2. Enter your item code or description and find your item. Click ‘Apply To All Stock Records For The Style’. Navigate to the Google Marketplace tab.
3. You will have a set of dropdown boxes which look identical to the ones in Google Category Maintenance. Choose your selection.
4. Press Apply Changes.
5. Repeat for each item you wish
to be listed on Google.
The following example follows from the section above, where an air freshener
would not come under a subcategory.
Note: Any items which have a style level category will override the sub department they are in.
Note: Google Categories are managed by importing a CSV file into Google Category Maintenance. This will setup the values in the drop down boxes.
This has been already imported and shouldn’t need to be used unless you need to change the available categories.
The CSV file will need to be in the correct format.
