How to add a Simple Bin Location
This document will explain adding a simple
bin location to the back office. Used for pallets and temporary locations for
example.
Note that in order to add a bin to a branch, the branch must first be checked as a warehouse:
Go to Stock - Bin and Stock Location Maintenance
Select Bin Locations
Type the bin location code into
the "New Bin Location" field, this should be a simple code such as "A1" as it
will be used to identify the location and will print on any related paperwork.
Ensure that your bin
location is added to a branch, otherwise this will affect assignment of your
bin location to stock later on.
The bin type depends on whether
the bin is in a locked, access-controlled location or in the general warehouse.
You have now created your bin
location.
