Reconciling Stock and Sales Reports - Explained

Firstly need to clarify the difference between shipped and demand.

• Demand sales are when an order is placed (order date).

• Shipped sales are updated when the actual order is shipped and the stock has left the Club.

The reconciliation report works on Shipped sales as it is generated from stock movements.

The sales column can be balanced against the sales and margin using the selection below:

The closing stock balance can be reconciled against the stock valuation report using the selection below :

(Be mindful that the Nett Realisable does not need to be applied and the report does not treat negative values as zero.)
