Delivery Services can be set up & Amended within Customer Order Setup > Delivery Options Maintenance:
Service Creation
To create a new Delivery Service, select the Delivery Services option. You will then be presented with a table of your current Delivery Services:
Select Create New at the bottom of the table:
First enter the Service Code for the new service, this is often provided by the carrier. Then enter a description for the service.
Scroll down to find the "Select Carrier" drop down and choose the relevant carrer for the service.
After a carrier is selected your screen will refresh to add in a few fields specific to the chosen carrier:
Enter the Service code once more and select if the service caters to domestic or international customers. You will also have an option for how the Duty is paid as well as the format for the package being sent.
Delivery Areas
After creating the service it will need to be added to a Delivery Area so customers can see the service. This can be found within Delivery Options Maintenance by selecting the Areas button:
You will then see a list of Areas which contain your countries and delivery services:
You will have the option to create a new Area if needed but it's often the case that Areas are created and rarely changed.
You will have the option to select "Change" to view the delivery services within a given area:
The default service will be the service that's automatically selected for the customer, the other options will show if they are active in the webshop.
Select Change again to view, add or remove services from an area.
You are also able to see which countries fall into each area within File Maintenance > Countries.
Delivery Charges
Once the service has been created and added to an area it can be assigned a price within the Service Charges tab found within Delivery Options Maintenance:
This tab will display every delivery service which is attached to an area:
Selecting a service will allow you to see the pricing rules:
You will need to set a value up to and then a charge. In this example any order value above £149.00 will qualify for free delivery.
You also have the options to add additional charges for heavier orders as well as a block for any orders over a set weight:
