Ranking Maintenance - Products keep moving to the bottom
The products are moving to the bottom of the page
as these product did not have a ranking value. By default when an item
is added to a sub department with no ranking setup it will go through as
0 or NULL.
Upon calcfrom.php scheduled
script running it picks up these records which are considered incorrect
and automatically calculates a relevant ranking which puts the products
towards the end of the page.
In the window of time from when
the products are added to the page until the calcfrom runs, they may
show at the top of the page.
With
reference to the recent examples provided, you should be able to see
that the temp ranking does not show any value (not even a 0) so it is
very likely to be NULL.
Just need to make sure the Temp value actually has a value. The
current ranking is the one that will match what is shown on the website.
Ranking can be set up either via the ranking maintenance program or in catalogue
file maintenance > maintain web pages and ranking for each relevant
product.
You just need to remember that the product should
show a value in current and temp ranking and this will stop the products
going down to the bottom.
