Received contact from customer advising the gift card does not work.
What to check for:
1. Check if you are able to locate the gift card number on the Gift Card Outstanding report
Once you have the report open- you can CTRL + F to add in the gift card number and enter to search the document.
If the gift number shows then that means there is an outstanding balance and you will be able to see the details of this.
If the gift card number brings back no results then there is either no balance or the gift card number is not activated.
You can then use the Gift Card Balance Enquiry program to see if further information can be located here.
In this instance the gift card has been activated with a pin number different to the one stated on the gift card.
This error message suggests that the gift card number was entered incorrectly when the gift card was activated.
If the gift card has a balance then you will see the balance. If this is the case then the customer has typed the details in incorrectly.
If the gift card has zero balance then the customer has already used the gift card.
