Marking Products as Inactive

As well as removing the products from reports by marking them as discontinued, you will need to set the products to inactive to stop them from being sent down to the tills.

Note: the program checks fifo total, customer order outstanding total and pick note total. All must be 0 in order to set them to inactive.

To do this you will need to go into the R&SS back office and under the Stock menu go to the
Active/Inactive maintenance
program.

From within the program you will need to select the manual set to active radio button.

Once having selected this option, you will need to search for the products you want to mark as inactive. This can be done in the same way is the discontinue program; You can either search from products by department, by season or by searching for description or product code.

Having searched for products in the relevant way, a list will populate with all products that are currently active and match the search criteria.

To mark a product or products as inactive, ensure that the “select” tickbox is ticked against them and then click the Update button at the bottom of the screen.

If you want to mark all products on the list as inactive then you can select the “select all” button at the bottom of the screen prior to clicking Update.
