Language Translations - Core Language File
*Please note, once the language files have been updated the Development Team will need to run a job for the updates to be reflected on the site.*
See attached file that can be uploaded into the back office to create a multi-lingual ecommerce journey.
How to import languages
Firstly you'll need to add the language you wish to show. This should appear in File Maintenance > Language Maintenance. If you do not see this then contact support (they'll update your user to have access to Language Maintenance).
Select create new language
Enter the language code (you will need to update the header on the import file to match this). The suggested image dimensions is 70 x 70 and in png format.
Next, to upload the files head to: File Maintenance > Language Translation
Choose the file and select import
Adding New Languages
The quickest way to add in a new language is to open the csv file in Google Sheet and utilise the translate function.
Here is the the built-in GOOGLETRANSLATE function:
=GOOGLETRANSLATE(A2, "en", "fr")
This translates the text in cell A2 from English to French. You can drag the formula down to apply it to an entire column and you will just need to change the language code to the language you require. E.g., in the formula above change "fr" to "de" to translate to German instead of French
