The Scanner file Update program is used to take scanner files added to the system and upload them to the stocktake count, as well as view all posted and non posted scanner upload files.
The particular program should be used if you are performing a stocktake using scanners and are certain that you have scanned all items for a set branch and have imported the file onto the system. It can also be used to delete old files if you have uploaded them to the stocktake and are certain that you no longer require the file.
1) Select uploaded date range
2) Choose posted/not posted filter
3) Choose branch
4) Select and upload chosen scanner files
OR
5) Select and delete chosen files
The first step to the scanner file update program is to choose the date range for uploaded scanner files to locate the file or files you are looking for.
Once a date range has been selected you will need to chose the filter for what type of files you wish to be shown. You can either choose to show all files, only show the files that have been posted to the stocktake or only show files that have not yet been posted to the stocktake. If the file has already been posted it will show the date at which this was last done.
After choosing which type of file you want to show, you can then choose whether to show the files for just one branch or for all branches.
Once all of the 3 above settings have been chosen, click “search for scanner import†and this will then load the list of all files that match the criteria that has previously been set.
Once the list of files has been loaded, the next step is to choose the appropriate file. If there is a new file that has recently been imported to the system the “last posted†column will say “not posted.†Once you have located the file you wish to upload to the stocktake, you will need to tick the “selected†box on the line for this file, then click “upload selected†at the bottom of the screen.
Another option once the list of files has been generated is to delete a file that has already been uploaded to the stocktake. To do this select the file you wish to delete and click “Delete Selected†from the bottom of the screen.
