Before you start you must connect the cradle to the till. Plug the power lead into the mains and connect it to the cradle.
Connect the USB cable to the cradle. On the front of the till base there are two USB ports placed directly beside each other. The USB cable must be plugged into the port furthest to the left as you face the till or the cradle won’t communicate with the till.
The stocktake function is accessible from the Menu screen, If necessary, log on to at the till.
Press the Menu button.
You will then see the Stock Procedures button. Before you select this please make sure the till is NOT in training mode as this will download the stocktake scans into the training area.
Press the Download Products to Denso button and when the Confirm is displayed. Press the black power on button at the bottom left of the unit on the Denso scanner and press 1.Load BHT followed by 1.Full PLU. Then place the scanner into the cradle. Press the Yes button on the till.
Sites that have a scanner licence at every branch/location can skip this section and continue to the uploading of scans.
Sites that have a single scanner licence must upload the scans on the till it is installed on.
The branch must be set correctly on the R&SS back office or the stocktake counts may be applied to the wrong branch/location.
Main Menu -> Maintenance -> Branch Maintenance. Select the branch that the scanner license is installed on and set the ‘Till Stocktake For This Branch’ to be the branch that the scanners stocktake counts are for and click the ‘Update’ button at the bottom of the screen to apply it.
Press the Upload Stocktake from Denso button.
When the Confirm is displayed you will be prompted on the scanner to send Data file select Yes on the scanner followed by ENT and then press the Yes button on the till.
The till will display the WinArtu3 dialogue window and the
upload of scanned data should begin. When the scanner has uploaded the WinArtu3
dialogue will report the transfer has been successful and the Exit button can
be pressed.
Press the save stocktake button and you will be taken to the
next screen. If you press cancel the downloads
will be ignored.
A stocktake report will be shown on screen of the items scanned. Press Print Report to print the scanned report on the till receipt printer. Press Close to complete the upload.
The scanner will ask if the scanned data should now be deleted, if the uploads were successful press 1.Yes followed ENT must be selected, once the file is deleted the scanner will prompt for any key to be pressed. The scanner is then ready for the next bout of scanning.
Please Note :
If you are not intending to use the scanner again then you
can select No to delete file. Always remember to delete the files using the
Erase file function before starting a new stock take or if you have just
received the scanners from a third party.
Press the Power on button and select 3, Functions. From this menu select 5, stocktake.
At the C: prompt you can start scanning your products.
As each product is scanned a quantity is requested. Either a quantity can be entered and the ENT button pressed, or the next product can be scanned and a quantity of 1 is assumed.
If an unrecognised product is scanned. The unit askes if the product should be added to the lookup file. Press 2, NO followed by the ENT key and put the product to one side for furtherr investigation and move on to the next product.
When you have finished scanning Press the power button to turn the unit off.
The stocktake will pick up from the last scan if the unit is powered off
halfway through scanning.
