Back Office Setup

Firstly, the master setting for this functionality will need enabling. This can be found in File Maintenance > System Configuration > Frontend Components

Please let us know when you want this to be enabled as this menu is only visible to Jonas Sports Admin.

To enable this functionality, please follow the steps below:

  1. Navigate to Catalogue File Maintenance.

  2. Within Catalogue File Maintenance, search for and select your catalogue code.

  3. Once the catalogue has been opened, go to the Related Items section.

  4. From here, you can:
  • Add additional products
  • Make them available as Product Siblings with one or multiple products.
  • Use them in combination with Related and Complete the Look options.

Note: When you create the sibling creation in one product it will automatically create it within the corresponding sibling however this will not auto create all potential relationship combinations. See below example:

  • Product A has a siblings relationship created with Product B, Product C, Product D.

  • Product B automatically has sibling creation with Product A but not with C or D

  • Product C automatically has sibling creation with Product A but not with B or D

  • Product D automatically has sibling creation with Product A but not with B or C

  • Product B then has a sibling creation with Product E (in addition to the existing Product A sibling relationship). Product B now has a sibling creation with A and E.
  • Product E automatically has sibling creation with Product B but no other products.

FAQs

  • When variants/sizes are out of stock, what happens?

This depends on the club’s setting on whether out of stock products are shown on the website (a system configuration master setting)

If the club are not showing out of stock products on the web, then the product will disappear as currently does and the variant will not be visible.

If setting is to show out of stock products online, then product will still show as it would do with stock meaning the image will still show as if it is in stock, and user would only find out it is out of stock once they click into the product.

  • Is the text on the PLP customisable? (Image below). Do we have the control to change what this says for each product (i.e., ‘Additional Colours’)

You will be able to manage the wording here within the back office however it is not in scope to make this Dynamic for each product sibling relationship. To Amend the wording go to the Language Translations program and locate ‘LBL__PRODUCT_ADDITIONAL_VARIATIONS’ (use CTRL + F to help) then click edit.

  • When editing, change just the value, leave the Type as ‘Label’.
