Till and Order Promotion: Retrospective

Till and Order Promotion: Retrospective

The retrospective promotion is used for bundle items. If you wish to set-up a bundle items you also need to create a retrospective promotion.

This promotion can be set up in Till and Customer Orders Promotions under Pricing.

Under the Maintain Promotions option ensure retrospective is selected.

Click next and then create new promotion

This promotion does not require Branches or Days and Times. The only mandatory fields are the Start and End Date, Active tick box and Description.

Use the Create Promotion button once the fields are completed.

The Description has to be named Bundle and if named differently the bundle discount will not apply.

Please note the Retrospective promotion applies for all bundle items set in the system.

If you are unsure on how to do that please check our Bundle manual which can be accessed from the following link:

This page contains all branches that you have set up. By selecting a branch you are telling the system to check if it should apply the discount to orders placed by those branches and to stock that is removed from branches (this is why the Warehouse branch is ticked). After selecting all the branches you want the promotion to apply to you will need to click apply changes to confirm to the system that you have set up the branches how you want them to be set.

Days and Times:

This section allows you to set the days of the week and the times you want the promotion to run to and from. For example: if you only wanted the items to be discounted from 00:00 Saturday until 23:59 Sunday (a weekend promotion that occurred on more than 1 weekend in a row) you would set the start and end time as above and tick only the Saturday and Sunday boxes, meaning that you wouldn’t have to worry about making the promo inactive after the first Sunday and making it active again the following Saturday.
