Website Only - Promotions Maintenance - Free Printing

There are multiple ways to create a free personalisation promotion. Before creating the promotion you will need to decide if you are setting the promotion for all of your players, a select few, or just one. Please note at this type of promotion is only available for Web Orders, not at the till. You can work around this by creating a discount button via Reasons Maintenance:

For all players or a select few, the best way to set that up is through Promotion Maintenance but you can also use Stock Amendment.

If you are setting this up for just one player, the only way to set that up is through the Free Shirt Printing Programme.

Promotion Maintenance

It is only possible to set up free promotion for web orders - not till. To do this you will need to set up the promotion as per the below settings;



Promotion Code: This is where you need to enter the Code that the customers will need to enter (if you have not ticked 'Automatically Apply to all Web Orders'. If you don't want the customer to be able to use the promotion before you have made the promotion public knowledge, attempt to make the promotion code harder than normal to guess. 

For example, if you are running a promotion such as '10% off during January' don't use a code such as JAN10 as this will be easy for the customer to guess.


Promotion Description: This can be set to anything, but will be shown to the customer when they apply the promotion to their order.


Offer Start / to Date: These are the dates that the promotion will run between. If you wish to end the promotion early remember to set the to date to the date on which you end the promotion, this will make sure the system no longer send this promotion to the till.


Active tick box: Ticking this tick box will tell the system to send the promotion to the website and using the other fields on the promotion check each order to see if the customer is eligible.


Offer Type: This determines what type of web promotion you wish to offer, by setting this to Free Personalisation you are telling the system to charge nothing for the name and number on the back of a shirt if the customer has an item with this personalisation on it.

Discount By Item(By Value): This type of promotion works similar to the Value Type, but the discount only applies to the selected items rather than the whole basket (requires Apply Selected Products to be setup); for example £10 off Home Shirt -> this will give the £10 discount per each home shirt in the basket

For example if you wanted to offer free printing for a player as it was their birthday then you can select the week of the players birthday and offer free printing just for the player.
